  Joomla directory component

The first step in building a Joomla! component is to set up the basic directory structure and files to support it. There is a /components directory located in the root Joomla installation folder. This folder contains files and other folders pertaining to the front end (what web site visitors see) of your component. Also located in the root folder of your Joomla! installation is a folder setup like this: /administrator/components. This is the folder where your back end administration files and folders go. The naming convention used for the folder where a Joomla! component actually exists is com_mycomponent, where mycomponent is the name of the component. With the vast array of tools available the developer really does have the chance to make the job not only a lot easier but the task can be achieved in less time. Whether the tools are for commercial or non commercial use they certainly make developing the Joomla interesting. In order to find out more on Joomla Template Design and similar web design or webmaster related resources, check out Design Contest which is a Online service where you can run a contest to get multiple designs for different services. Joomla can access its files in two ways. Directly or by a FTP account. FTP access is a convenient way to solve issues with file permissions. Usually, for security reasons the account is configured to access only the website directory. However, it can be configured to access the whole hosting directory. If this is the case then you have a very elegant way too access all the files, not just those that belong to Joomla. This means that with only one Joomla component you can have web access to every single file. This is a great advantage when you need to transfer some files and all you have is a web browser. Joomla directory component is a great web content management system. With a simple file xplorer extension you can make it even greater.
